Saltillo Poilce are looking for two individuals passing out counterfeit $20 bills.

On August 24 starting around 3 p.m., two black males driving a silver GMC Yukon, unknown license went to four of local business in Saltillo.

Each male would go to the counter and place a small order and pay with a $20 bill. The order would be for not more than $2 or less. They would exchange in small talk with the employee to distract her from looking at the bills.

At one of the locations the employee noticed that the bill looked and felt different and questioned the suspect. The suspect took the bill back, looked at it then went out the door.

Five fake bills were seized yesterday.

Photos above are from surveillance video at one of the stores where the fake $20 bills were used.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Saltillo Police at 869-5454.

I just hope that the Chief's fear of looking incompetant is not the reason he did not want help. I think as everyone knows he does want to be Sheriff. But, seeing how this has been handled, that would not be a great idea. I just pray for the family of Anna and also that this guy does have to pay for what he did.

I guess since people will remember her name, her being elected, as Gillentine. She was recently married and kept the other.

That is true Sportsfan50, there is nothing wrong with getting help on something like that. Wish something could get done about this instead of counterfit bills, but apparently it's not the crime it's the individual(s) involved.

Saltillo needs to make an arrest or at least update the family about the progress of the shooting case. I'm still confused about the coroners name though, what does Gillentine-Green mean?

I certainly do not know all of the details but do know a few. I can not believe he has not been arrested and also, knowing her father, can not believe something has not happened to the low-life. There was recently a grand jury and my question is, Why was this case not presented and this worthless individual locked up? I guess you can get by for years not knowing anything about prosecuting cases but eventually it will catch up with you. Saltillo should have done the wise thing and let MBI step in. That is why they are there.

Thank you Another for bringing that up. I was wondering that myself. I am sure the family and friends of Anna would like to know something as well if they don't already know.

@Another, there is a distinct difference between a homicide and a murder. While Ms. McCoy's death was unfortunate and fishy smelling there may not be enough evidence to pursue Murder charges. I have limited information on the case but I wanted to let you know that homicide and murder are apples and oranges and cannot be compared.

I am so glad the Saltillo Police Department has these photos and surveillance images to go on. I certainly hope that these perpetrators are brought to justice swiftly, immediately, and face the full wrath of the law... Oh, and by the way....

"Lee County Coroner Carolyn Gillentine-Green has concluded that the shooting death of Anna Catherine McCoy was a homicide."

How's that going??????????
