Kosciusko Police Chief R.J. Adams says only one business sells the drug in the city. Adams says the ban takes effect immediately.
Also this week, officials in Corinth, Lafayette County, Pike County and Gulfport enacted bans.
Generally, the local ordinances are misdemeanors and make it illegal to buy, sell, possess or distribute the herbal mixtures or any similar substances and the maximum penalties are generally a $1,000 fine and six months in jail.
The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics intends to ask lawmakers in January to approve a statewide ban on the spice.

Yep, ok you banned something that was otherwise lawful. What have you really done. The real kicker is figuring out what is meant by herbal mixtures or similiar substances. I guess they will close down the local GNC stores now with all those herbal substances.
Lets give them a round of applause. They figured out another way to clip someone for a $1,000 bucks for having something otherwise legal.
Legalize pot!
Big deal.
If people want it, they'll just order it off the internet and have it delivered to their house.
Or, they'll just go and buy some pot because since pot is illegal and has been for decades, it's actually easier to get than Spice.
This is one of those examples of government LOOKING like they're doing something, but in reality they're not doing anything at all.
