Early season football games set for State, Ole Miss

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Southern Miss will help kick off the SEC football season when the Golden Eagles take on South Carolina on Thursday, Sept. 2 with a 6:30 p.m. kickoff on ESPN.

The Southeastern Conference released TV schedules for the early part of the season on Thursday.

The next Thursday night, Mississippi State and Auburn will tee it up on ESPN for another 6:30 p.m. kickoff before a national audience.

Two days later, Alabama’s game with Penn State on Sept. 11 will be televised by ESPN with a 6 p.m. start. The next week’s visit to Duke will be a 2:30 p.m. kickoff on ABC.

Also on Sept. 11, Ole Miss and Auburn will be the late game when they take on Tulane at 8 p.m. on either ESPN Classic or ESPN2.
