CORINTH - Belk today announced that it will reopen its store at Southgate Plaza Shopping Center at 708 South Cass St. in Corinth on Friday, June 11. The store has been closed since Monday, May 3, after flooding left the store under more than two feet of water and mud causing extensive damage to the store and its merchandise.

"Our goal is to reopen the store as quickly as possible so we can resume serving our customers and provide the merchandise they need," said Linda Hastings, store manager. "Our associates and work crews have been working hard to clean and repair the store so we can get the doors open again. We're replacing carpet and floor coverings, repairing and painting walls, and fixing or replacing merchandise fixtures throughout the store."

"The store renovation is still a work in progress, and while it will take a while longer to replace some of our fixtures and fully restock all of the merchandise we lost, we're proceeding with a June 11th reopening in order to take care of our valued customers. We look forward to welcoming them back to the store and helping them with their shopping needs."
