Both ICC and Northeast are in a must-win situation in their respective MACJC state tournament baseball series today.

ICC lost 10-7 at home to Pearl River on Friday night in a game marred by a seventh-inning fracas. Nine players – five from ICC (29-18) and four from Pearl River (24-25) – were ejected before the game resumed.

The teams will play again today at 2 p.m. A third game, if needed, will follow.

ICC’s scheduled starting pitcher, Will Irvin, was among the players ejected and will miss the first game.

In Raymond, Northeast lost 12-2 to Hinds. Game 2 starts today at 1 p.m.

Region 23 softball: ICC saw its season come to an end with a 5-4 loss to Pearl River on Friday in Clinton. The Lady Indians (28-24) tied it with four runs in the top of the seventh but lost on a Baleigh Volking home run.

Mississippi Gulf Coast and East Central play for the Region 23 title today
