Some rallies are planned Thursday to coincide with the federal tax filing deadline. In Laurel, a group called We Surround Them-Jones County is planning to meet at noon outside the courthouse in Laurel.
Candidates for a south Mississippi congressional seat have been invited to speak at a Thursday evening rally at the Gulfport Sportsplex.
A statewide gathering is scheduled to begin Saturday morning at the State Fairgrounds in Jackson, followed by a march to the Capitol. A separate event is scheduled in Oxford.
