THS' Holman has good showing in Ala.

Tupelo High School distance runner Max Holman placed second overall Saturday in the two-mile run at the annual Meet of Champions in Mobile, Ala.

Holman, who signed last week with Ole Miss, covered the distance in 9:26.75, which broke the THS school record of 9:29 held by former Golden Wave standout Robert Scribner in the 3,200 meters.

Holman's two-mile time would covert to 9:23.35 in the 3,200 meters.
