Mississippi State will take its five-game win streak to Corpus Christi, Texas, this weekend in the Whataburger College Classic. It's the first road trip of the season for coach John Cohen's team.

The Bulldogs (9-3), coming off a 9-3 win over Western Kentucky on Wednesday, will battle No. 15-ranked Oklahoma (13-1) at 2 p.m. today. Taking the mound for State will be sophomore left-hander Nick Routt (0-0, 3.86 ERA). He'll be opposed by junior righty Zach Neal (1-0, 6.60).

On Saturday, MSU takes on UCLA (10-0) at 5 p.m. The Bruins are off to their best start in the modern era. State then closes out the weekend with a doubleheader against host team Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sunday starting at 3 p.m.

MSU is led on offense by seniors Luke Adkins, who's batting .405, and Connor Powers, who's hitting .383 with seven home runs and 28 RBIs.
