For last week’s Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Tupelo, staff members at the city’s Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Tupelo Automobile Museum and Tupelo Park and Recreation came up with their take on the popular television show “The Amazing Race.”

For the Amazing Race/Tupelo, eight teams were given different clues at the Tupelo CVB. They had to figure out the clue in order to get to the next location. At the locations – all popular tourist attractions in Tupelo – the teams had to perform a challenge before getting the next clue.

The teams had a hard time figuring out No. 1 and No. 3, but they all finished the game. Now, the CVB challenges you: Are you smarter than a tourist? If you get stumped, the answers are at the bottom.
