Gas prices are climbing back up to where they were a month ago.

According to our NEMS Daily Journal survey and research, Sherman has the cheapest gas in the state and while gas in Oxford is higher than the national average. In Sherman, a gallon of regular will run you $2.45. According to MississippiGasPrices.com, that’s the cheapest in the state.

Strange that the prices jump 5 cents over night in college towns when there's a sporting event. I believe it's called a crock...

I beg to differ losthog. Just as it says Oxford is ALWAYS!!!!! above the national average! There is a a 30 cent difference from one side of town to the other. Talk about price gouging.....

Tupelo typically has highest fuel prices in the immediate area. Sherman is often lower but not posted frequently on MGP.com whereas New Albany is most often reported. Fulton and Booneville often have much lower prices but no one bothers to post the prices on MGP.com
