Amory police investigating sexual assualt

According to Amory Police Chief Ronnie Bowen, the Amory Police Department is investigating a reported sexual assault that occurred Saturday, January 23 at a residence in Amory. The unidentified female, 17, was attending a party at the residence when the reported incident occurred.

The case is still currently under investigation and arrests are expected in the case.

Although the Amory Police Department has not released the name of the individual, sources close to the the victim have stated she is a student at Sulligent High School.

Rumors surrounding the alleged incident began make its way around Monroe County after posts began appearing on the popular social network site Facebook discussing the incident. The victim was allegedly attending a party in Amory when the assault occurred.

These are just rumors!! Please do not believe what these people say on here. They do not know anything. Lets just pray for all these families and let the police handle it!! My prayers are with anyone who feels the need to say anything like gr8dad did. Please do not witness with your mouth what you don't see with your eyes. I hope everything that gr8dad wrote is not true, but if it is, and all the ones did this as well as the ones that watched,get here to the state prison,we have a "party" often. We will show you what a real "party" is and there is no need to bring a video because no one would care to watch it. Police do your work, get them thru the court system, and get them down here ! We are waiting !

apparently the kids (many) did unspeakable things to another girl.......the animals videoed it and many watched it happen at a party......then the video made the rounds......apparently only one kid from Amory High.....the others were from Smithville and Hatley and the victim was from Hamilton/Sulligent area.........victim age 17 may have to have hysterectomy........truly aweful.....attackers (witnesses too?).....may face 25 yrs maximum each........they should be hung at the court house if rumored details prove true........far more violent than a rape itself....sick.
