Arrest made in recent Elks stabbing

TUPELO – Police made an arrest Wednesday in connection with the stabbing of a man at the Elk’s Lounge that happened almost a month ago.

Police are not releasing the name of the suspect at this time, pending formal charges.

Dennis Roberson, 35, of Pontotoc was stabbed several times in the back and head after an altercation at the Elk’s Lounge shortly after 1 a.m. on Dec. 28.

Roberson remains in the hospital.
