TUPELO – Fox News commentator Angela McGlowan says she’ll announce in February whether she’s running as a Republican for the U.S. House seat held by Booneville Democrat Travis Childers.

Speaking during Tuesday’s monthly Networking at Noon luncheon, the Oxford native said she’s exploring the idea and praying about it.

The timing will come after her Fox contract expires.

“I just can’t say now,” she told the crowd at the BancorpSouth Conference Center.

If she runs, she’ll compete for the GOP nomination with announced candidate, state Sen. Alan Nunnelee of Tupelo, and perhaps former Eupora mayor Henry Ross, who’s made a few public pronouncements that he’ll run.

Childers is the only announced Democrat for the November general election.

if she does, she'll get about 8% of the vote...she isn't a serious contender..."and at the end of the day" she'll lose....
