JACKSON - State Treasurer Tate Reeves says he'll tour the state to remind residents about the Dec. 31 deadline for Mississippi's college savings plan.

Reeves will visit Meridian, Tupelo, Hattiesburg, Gulfport and Jackson to promote Mississippi Prepaid Affordable College Tuition program.

The program lets Mississippi families buy all or part of their children's public college education at present-day tuition.

MPACT invests that money with the goal of earning 7.8 percent a year.
