- William B. Howard Jr., president of William Howard & Co. Financial Advisors Inc., received the 2009 Memphis Executive of the Year award from the International Association of Administrative Professionals.

Howard is a Pontotoc native.

The award is given annually by the Memphis chapter and the selection process is based on a nomination letter outlining the award criteria of the executive. The award criteria consists of professional accomplishments, career tenure, civic/community involvement and support of professional development of the administrative professional career.

- Wynn Coley was chosen as Franklin Collection Service Inc.’s employee of the month for November.

Wynn has been employed at Franklin for almost two years in accounts receivable.

- Jeff Glover has been promoted to vice president at BB&T. Glover, who joined the bank in 2005, is an operations division manager in BB&T’s exception statement services department.

The Tupelo native earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
