TUPELO – The city’s Historic Preservation Commission has openings for new members to serve on the board.

Tupelo residents who are interested in serving should pick up an application at City Hall in the mayor’s office or in the Development Services Department office.

“We’re looking for residents who know and love Tupelo’s history and its beautiful historic places,” said city Senior Planner Renee Autumn Ray, who is taking applications. “We need members who can help us work with residents and business owners to preserve and protect their properties.”

Applications will be available from Tuesday through Dec. 15.
