Please use better judgment or at least consult at least one wise man ie, lord Christopher Monckton, as the scripture tells us in PRO. 13: 20 He that walketh with wise [men] shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. Great day in the morning, 5960lady, your mentality is exactly the reason tripe like this healthcare "reform" is being bulldozed onto Americans. I see from your diatribe (if these words are too big, I can start using smaller ones) that you've never met a handout you didn't like and you haven't the slightest concept of how legislation like this is paid for. If you think this will not increase the deficit and will provide the miracle of free and abundant care that's being promoted, you're too far gone for my response to shake you back to reality. For starters, when they start raising the taxes they plan to raise to pay for this crap, who's going to be paying it? The rich, you say? And you don't have a problem with that, you say? Fine. But when the rich aren't able to hire as many more people to work in their businesses because of the increased tax burden they face, and when those people then don't have jobs to go to and therefore depend on the government for handouts (and can't afford low-cost insurance anyway), what's going to happen? I'll tell you what'll happen. The economic output and gross domestic product will not be enough to support this legislation, healthcare will begin to be restricted to reign in the costs (because tort reform is no part of this there will still be the problem of tests done just to save a doctor's hide should he or she dare to make a mistake and get sued for everything they own -- which, by the way drives up the cost of their malpractice insurance to more money than you and I make in a year, which drives up the cost of medical care and procedures . . . see a pattern developing here? And when care starts getting restricted, I guess all you "free-healthcare-massive-handout-lovin" liberals will have to go running to Canada for treatment. Which, should you care to explore things a little, you'd learn they've constantly struggled with the costs in Canada and are even now trying to figure out if privatizing some parts of their medical system will help alleviate the problems they've got.

Until some form of legislation is passed to address the real problems that have driven up the cost of healthcare in this country -- primarily tort reforms -- we will never have a system that sees cost decreases and savings. This isn't about insurance. This is, plain and simple, the democrats' attempt to empower themselves even more by beholding not just their traditional support base with government control of their lives, but all Americans. And God help us all if we go down that route. I like the country the way it was, not the way it's heading. If I wanted to live in France, I'd move to France. I'd prefer that not be what our country becomes, you people who go gaga over the belief that government is the end-all, be-all and savior of all will not stop until you've destroyed what was -- and still could be -- the greatest civilization in this world's history.

I expected no less from a repubcrate like you, this healthcare reform would help the people of our state,people that lost their insurance would be able to get low cost insurance and it woild expand medicaid for more people to be able to qualify that don't now. medacare would be expaned to cover more treatment and senors would be able to get a yearly check up at no cost to them,the money the republicans are talking about the money thats going right to the insurance companys fpr supplying a suppment for some people that can affprd to have a golden insurance the poor suffer so the rich can have these plans.if you have a prexisting conditions will be ablel to get insurance where they can not now do or they have a premium that is so high that they just can't pay the premium, the insurance companys can leave these people out anymore.

The house bill is paid for it will not put one dime on the deficit,and will bring it down over the next five years.
