“Today, millions of hard-working Americans are suffering from soaring premiums that are increasing seven times faster than wages. Our country needs health care reform, and there is no one who wants to see the implementation of successful reform and lower premiums for individuals and families more than I do.
“However, for several reasons, I will vote ‘no’ on the House’s health care reform bill, H.R. 3962.
“First and foremost, I cannot vote for legislation with this big of a price tag in today’s economic climate. I would also like to see legislation that contains stronger language to prohibit federal funding for abortion and provides equal access to care for individuals in rural communities. My concerns in these areas have not been sufficiently addressed by this legislation.
“Health care reform legislation in the House has come incredibly far from where it was when we began this discussion. But we need to get this legislation right, not just get it fast.
“Potential reform is still a work in progress, and the House bill is only one of many steps that lie ahead before Congress votes on final legislation. The Senate has yet to act on its bill and we don’t know what the conference report – the final bill – will ultimately look like. It must be a commonsense plan that reflects Mississippi values.”

Very well thought out statement we will watch what you do next.
Now on another topic here is a thought. I understand you are THINKING about siding with the cap and trade scheme of that prevaricator Al Gore and his religious followers in the leadership and at the U. N.. Please use better judgment or at least consult at least one wise man ie, lord Christopher Monckton, as the scripture tells us in PRO. 13: 20 He that walketh with wise [men] shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. I hope you are not offended by scripture, but better you, than my Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ. May His wisdom enlighten you and give you a reason to really serve the people in the most just way in regards to this issue. Thanks for the opportunity to give you this feedback to encourage you in your struggle with this bill. John Q. Blackford
PS. On me being human thats a good question why don't we as a government and a governed people stop asking racist questions on every government form. If we are all human and you intend to treat us all equally; what reason do you need to ask me a racist question like am I Black or Indian or White, human is what I am that is all you need to know to be fair to all legal citizens.
(Your site got me going on this question.)are you human?
Thanks, John Q. Blackford
Until some form of legislation is passed to address the real problems that have driven up the cost of healthcare in this country -- primarily tort reforms -- we will never have a system that sees cost decreases and savings. This isn't about insurance. This is, plain and simple, the democrats' attempt to empower themselves even more by beholding not just their traditional support base with government control of their lives, but all Americans. And God help us all if we go down that route. I like the country the way it was, not the way it's heading. If I wanted to live in France, I'd move to France. I'd prefer that not be what our country becomes, you people who go gaga over the belief that government is the end-all, be-all and savior of all will not stop until you've destroyed what was -- and still could be -- the greatest civilization in this world's history.
What a disappointment Childers has turned out to be. Here he has a chance to make a real difference in people's lives and he squanders it to woo republicans.
Well I hope for his sake it works because I won't be voting for him again.
The house bill is paid for it will not put one dime on the deficit, and will bring it down over the next five years.
This healthcare bill is good for all americans people will be able to go to a dr. instead of the er there is a savings right there.there is a lot more thats benafits us, go on line or watch c-span.and find out for your self, mr. childerns you will not get a large familey vote next time around you can join the republican pary.
