The Teamsters Local 891 announced approval of the contract Friday. The union represents about 350 drivers.
The union began negotiating first-time, four-year contracts with First Student in July, but those contracts reached an impass on Sept. 29. On Oct. 22, drivers in Hinds County went on strike. The union and the bus company reached an agreement the next day.
