MSU holding open hoops scrimmage noon Saturday

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State will hold an open men’s basketball scrimmage at noon Saturday at Humphrey Coliseum.

It will be the second intra-squad scrimmage for the Bulldogs, having held a closed one Tuesday night. MSU began formal preseason drills Oct. 16 and plays its first exhibition game Oct. 31 against Oklahoma City. The regular season begins Nov. 13 against Rider.

The scrimmage will kick off a big Saturday in Starkville. MSU’s football team plays that night at 6:30 against No. 1-ranked Florida.
