Miller, then 17, was convicted in 2008 in Attala County and sentenced to five years in prison with 18 months to serve and 42 months of post-release supervision.
The Appeals Court this past week rejected Miller's claims that his case should have been handled in youth court. The Appeals Court said Miller was charged with a felony outside jurisdiction of the youth court.
