TUPELO – The United States Postal Service is considering consolidating some of its Tupelo Customer Service Mail Processing Center operations into the Memphis Processing & Distribution Center.

The USPS is asking for public input as it considers this option. Comments can be sent to: Consumer Affairs Manager, P.O. Box 99695, Jackson, MS 39205-9695.

If a feasibility study supports a consolidation of operations, a public meeting will be held, the USPS says.

No deadline has been announced for receiving the comments.

The Postal Service was closed on Monday for the Columbus Day holiday and no one was available to comment.
