Bond set for suspect in fatal traffic crash

HATTIESBURG — Bond has been set at $1 million for a Hattiesburg man charged in a crash that killed a University of Southern Mississippi freshman on Thursday morning.

Ronnie J. Matthews appeared in Forrest County Justice Court on Friday.

Matthews has been charged with DUI causing a death in the accident in which 18-year-old LeJulia White of Camden was killed. Three other students were hurt in the accident.
