North Delta Dealers win Cotton States tourney

The North Delta Dealers won the Cotton States Baseball League championship series on Sunday, beating Tallahatchie Rascals, 8-2.

Nick Vickerson (Mississippi State signee) and Cade Hogard (Delta State) each had three hits and drove in a pair of runs for the Dealers, who finished the season on a five-game winning streak.

The Dealers (16-8-1) and 10 hits and overcame for errors behind a seven-inning five-hitter for Matt Shaw (Northwest Mississippi).

Vickerson had a two-run double in a three-run third for the Dealers; Hoggard added a pair of RBI singles.
