Superintendent Matt Smith told board members that the state Board of Education had recommended approving a budget, which could be modified later after the state’s budget is finalized.
Of three suggested budgets from the state board’s Web site, Prentiss County’s school district business manager used figures that represent the lowest dollar allocation for the system – the governor’s plan, Smith said.
Under this plan the district’s overall budget is approximately $21 million, he said, which will support all the budget line items from 2008-2009.
