The Legislature and Gov. Barbour have not agreed on a budget. Will the inaction affect some of them politically?

The governor and the legislature need to quit all of this bickering and get over their differences and have the state's best interest at heart. Teachers don't even have their contracts for this coming up school year because of all of this crap, and teachers are not the only ones who are suffering here. There are other agencies who are waiting anxiously for the governor and legislature to quit bickering and get something done.

Yes...the inaction and ineffectiveness will result in political backlash from the voters due to public sentiment. The blame of current gridlock lies in the laps of political figures that pursue higher ambition that will later recall and attempt to pass off such actions as noble or being fiscally responsible.

Soon the costly special session will allow the governor to set the agenda and master the senate puppet strings more precisely than in previous weeks.

On the other hand, perhaps there will not be any affect whatsoever. Seems the general public has gotten so adapt to bipartisan gridlock that political chaos has become acceptable and beyond forgotten when elections are upon us and the polls are ripe for political planting, plucking and harvesting.
