The four-team, two-game event will be held at the Honda Center in Los Angeles. MSU would not confirm the reports, and a call to UCLA’s basketball office by the Daily Journal was not returned.
UCLA is the only confirmed participant.
That game would displace MSU’s scheduled matchup with Gardner-Webb, and it would come two days after State plays DePaul in the SEC/Big East Challenge in Tampa.
MSU is still trying to fill two other open dates for the 2009-10 season.
