The Municipal Democratic Executive Committee of the City of New Albany met on Friday, May 8, 2009 in the Boardroom of City Hall to discuss the matter of computer error in the May 5th election involving Ward 3 Alderman race. This error affects the Ward 3 Alderman race only. Because of this problem, the voters of Ward 3 will have an opportunity to revote.
The Committee voted unanimously to hold another election for Ward 3 Alderman only on Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Voting will be at the courthouse from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Democratic Executive Committee urges Ward 3 voters to make every effort to vote in this special election on Tuesday, May 12, 2009.
