Thunderstorms on the way

TUPELO – With high chances of thunderstorms for most of the weekend in the forecast, flood warnings have been issued for a couple of Northeast Mississippi areas.

According to the National Weather Service In Memphis, the Buttahatchie River near Aberdeen and the Tombigbee River near Amory are under a flood warning due to heavy rainfall.

There is a 70 percent chance of thunderstorms tonight and a 50 percent chance of rain Saturday.
