we need a chill bar downtown. a place with couches and not horribly loud music. a place where people can drink, talk and hang out.

we don't need thugish booty shaking or def leopard cover bands bars in downtown tupelo. it's very simple. dont open a bar that caters to that crowd.

a prime example of a place that works is Blue Canoe. good food, great beer selection, relaxed atmosphere, and something different to listen to. i do wish the there was no cover charge some nights though.

FULTON – Itawamba Community College head baseball coach Rick Collier announced the Saturday’s doubleheader against John C Calhoun Community College has been postponed to Tuesday due to weather concerns.

“With it being this early in the season, there is really no reason to take the chance of getting any of the players sick or hurt for either team with the weather conditions as harsh as they are suppose to be,” said ICC skipper Rick Collier.

Opening pitch for Game 1 is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the newly renamed Cresap Field in Fulton.

I wonder who's been getting the "Other" votes in this poll. George Mikan? James Worthy?
