Tupelo Mayoral Primaries

Doyce Deas defeated opponent Kentrel Boyd by a two-thirds majority, or 814 votes in the Democratic primary. Jack Reed Jr. deafeated his opponent James Presley by a four-fifths majority, or 2,557 votes in the Republican primary.

Deas and Reed will face each other in the June 2 general election.
