OXFORD - Police here are seeking two suspects in connection with the robbery of a store just off West Jackson Avenue on Thursday night.

Chief Mike Martin said employees at Grandma Slackers, 106 Allison Cove, told officers that two black males entered the store about 9:40 p.m. One, wearing dark pants, red shirt and a bandanna, was carrying a baseball bat.

"They didn't get a detail description of the second guy," Martin said. "They were pretty much focused on the one with the baseball bat."

According to the report, the suspects took money from the register and the tip jar and then took a personal computer and a cell phone before fleeing on foot.

"We did track with a K-9 for a short distance before the trail ran out, so they were parked nearby," Martin said.

Anyone with information on the case should call Oxford Police Department at (662) 232-2400 or CrimeStoppers at (662) 234-TIPS (234-7477).
