I'm married and my married name is Green. I continue to use Gillentine as most people elected me to my position under that name. Many women in the political arena have maintained their name (that they were elected with) for name recognition purposes. Sorry for the confusion.

@lawdog,

There are roadblocks ALL the time in Auburn! I know I go through 4-5 a month. They are usually set up between the 4 lane and the ballfields, and beteween Aunburn Baptist and Auburn Tan and Video. Every now and then they will be sporadically set up anywhere on Auburn Rd and even on 1498. Guess you don't go through there often?.

Why does it matter what the Coroners name is? Who cares? Atleast we have a good one and one that cares!

KIDS!! Think about what you are doing!! On Sunday 9/19 about 3:45 pm I was returning from Ga. and as I was driving west on Eason bldv. heading to Hwy 45 S. I was behind a young friend od Austin's. I know they must have been friends because I noticed a decal on the back windscreen of his pickup that was a memorial to Austin. I reflected that it had only been a few short days since Austin had been laid to rest, and this young man was doing his best to not let his friend be forgotten......BUT then, we crossed the bridge and came up on the turn to 45S, and there was ONE car coming east...and was pretty close....this young man didn't hesitate, he turned in front of the car....saving himself no more than 2 or 3 seconds, and took a very BIG chance, imho. This young man who's devotion to his friend with the memorial in his window, came close to causing another accident that not only might have cost him his life, but posibly others as well.

I say, if you really loved Austin, STOP AND THINK ABOUT THE WAY YOU ARE DRIVING DUDE! Killing yourself is no way to memorialize your lost friend.

If you are reading this, you were driving a pickup with a whip cb antenna in the center of your truck just behind the cab, with 4 tennis balls on the antenna to keep the antenna from scratching your paint, I believe your name is John as it was on another decal on your tailgate.

There is a song you can hear on youtube that says it well, "in a NEW YORK MINUTE" everything can change! please PLEASE think about what you do.

I am So sorry for this family's loss, I just hope that noone else close to this young man dies needlessly. dave_p

If the Coroner is now married to a Green is she suppose to hyphenate her maiden name or ex husband's name. if I was the ex husband I would want my name back.

My heart hurts so badly for the family. Especially mom. My sweet Brendon (son and best friend) was taken from me June 22nd due to a drunk driver. My life is hell and I will never be the same again. I hate anyone to have to walk in the shoes I am forced to wear. These shoes can never be taken off. These shoes dont hurt my feet, they hurt my whole body, inside and out. Prayers go to Austins family.

I'm very sorry to the family who lost the teenager in the accident, and no parent should ever have to go through this.

My question is what in the world is the Coroner's name?

Is she a Gillentine or Green, please someone help me with this.

People see how fast they can go on the road where the fatal crash occurred Monday night. I would bet that every other car you meet out here is uninsured. Roadblocks are nonexistant in Auburn since the fatal roadblock that resulted in the chase that ultimately led to Harold Ray Presley's untimely death. It is an everyday occurance to see folks drinking from "brown paper bags" on CR 1145/1498 where the wreck happened. Speeding, no tags,children not in carseats,oh,yeah, it is out in Auburn.

Roadblocks are badly needed to check for licenses, tags, insurance, and seatbelts..not to mention drinking and/or drug abuse.

Doesn't Mississippi Law hold the operator/driver of the vehicle responsible for all the passengers in the vehicle??? I know in Texas the driver is cited for everyone not using their seatbelts and not the passengers. The young man was killed because the driver did not take the responsibility of directing his passenger to secure his seatbelt therefore he/she should be held responsible for the death of the young man.
