MDOT installed this sign today by the Main Street exit on Highway 45 South.

As we tweeted about earlier, MDOT today installed a new exit sign on Highway 45 South for the Main Street exit.

It now directs people to Main Street and downtown Tupelo. We saw the MDOT workers putting it up around 2:45 p.m., and by the time we drove back around 4:30 p.m., the sign was all done.

The new signage comes after efforts from the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association to better brand downtown Tupelo on the highways.
