A three vehicle crash occurred around 4:15 PM (08-31-2010) yesterday evening on US Highway 82 in Oktibbeha County East of Center Grove near Polly Bell road.  The fatality is Sammie Jones, a 41 year old male from Maben. Mr. Jones was operating a Ford farm tractor, traveling west on US Highway 82. The other vehicles involved were: a 1998 Green Dodge Ram, and a 2007 Yellow Mack Truck Tractor Trailer.  The dodge was driven by Mr.  Raymond Poe Jr., a 58 year old male from Pheba.  Mr. Poe was traveling West on US Highway 82 following the farm tractor.  The Mack Truck Tractor Trailer was driven by Mr. Fred Culver, a 39 year old male from Forrest City, Arkansas.  The Tractor Trailer was traveling west on US Highway 82 behind the Dodge.  Mr. Jones was pronounced dead on the scene by the Oktibbeha County Coroner.  The Crash is still under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol.
