Tupelo, Miss.—The third Down On Main Concert Series scheduled for September 9th at Fairpark in Downtown Tupelo has a new musical act, Rebirth Brass Band from New Orleans. Due to scheduling conflicts the Dirty Dozen Brass Band will not be able to play in Tupelo on this date.

The Rebirth Brass Band was formed in New Orleans by the infamous Frazier brothers in 1983. They have evolved from playing in the streets of the French Quarter to playing festivals and stages all over the world.  While upholding the tradition of brass bands, they also incorporate modern music into their show.  Their signature brand of heavy funk has not only won over several generations of music lovers, it has become the soundtrack to an entire city. With a reputation of being the “leader of the pack” in the brass band world, Rebirth is sure to win over the Tupelo crowd as well.

Moon Taxi, an explosive Rock band from Nashville, Tenn., will open for The Rebirth Brass Band at this event.

“Down on Main” is a free summer concert series organized by a group of young Tupelo professionals, partnered with the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association.
