The Tupelo Children’s Farmers’ Market kicks off its educational workshop series Saturday at 10 a.m.
Master Gardener Reggie Rose will discuss soil preparation.
The second workshop will be Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Jeff Wilson with the Mississippi State University Extension Service will discuss the basic garden skills for growing vegetables.
The remaining workshops will be April 17 and April 24.
Workshops will be held rain or shine at the Tupelo Farmers’ Market shed on South Spring Street. The workshops are free, open to the public and are geared toward children ages 5-17. Attendees don’t have to be a market vendor to go to the workshops.
