Ripley High's football team put a whipping on Center Hill, 55-0, in a scrimmage (just two quarters) at Center Hill on Friday.

But Tigers coach Mac McCurry isn't sure what to make of his club right now. He said a lot of his players are buying into the notion that they are supposed to be pretty good this year, but if they do not buy into the fact that they need to play strong, physical football, they may not live up to those expectations.

With that being said, Acie Vance will certainly be an entertaining player to watch at quarterback for the Tigers, who are loaded with talent.

Another player to watch closely this fall is Baldwyn linebacker Devin Lindsey. The Clarion-Ledger said they heard from a college coach in Mississippi that Lindsey could very well be a sleeper prospect.
